Abstract[English]
Cryoprotectant toxicity is a long-standing and limiting factor for the cryopreservation of many living systems. We now disclose methods by which this toxicity can be reduced or even eliminated by pre-exposing living cells, tissues, organs, and simple organisms to hydrogen peroxide or the equivalent and/or to non-toxic concentrations of cryoprotectants.[French]
La toxicité des cryoprotecteurs est un facteur limitant de longue date pour la cryoconservation de nombreux systèmes vivants. Des procédés par lesquels cette toxicité peut être réduite, voire éliminée, par pré-exposition de cellules vivantes, de tissus, d'organes et d'organismes simples au peroxyde d'hydrogène ou un équivalent et/ou à des concentrations non toxiques de cryoprotecteurs sont maintenant divulgués.
