Described herein are examples of apparatuses which include a first device and a second device. The first device may be configured to detect an environmental condition or event. The second device may be communicatively linked to the first device via a first communication channel. The second device may be configured to receive data from the first device, generate an alert based on the received data, and establish a second communication channel in response to a disruption or impairment of the first communication channel.[French]
