Abstract[English] -shaped bright or dark solitons in waveguides. These genuine solitons do not suffer from Cherenkov (or dispersive) radiation in transmission and adapt to different waveguides if peak intensity requirements are met. The mode-locking of an adaptive soliton laser with all passive fibers having the same type of dispersion is self-started and sustained by SBSR effect. This nonlinear optical effect suppresses Kelly-sidebands and broadens the spectrum for chirped femtosecond soliton generation. Adaptive soliton lasers of normal dispersion are capable of generating high energy solitons.[French] à fréquence réduite dans des guides d'ondes.
