Abstract[English] The technical field that this invention pertains to is pharmaceuticals. The problem that this invention solves is that current over-the-counter migraine/headache medications only treat one symptom which is pain, and current over-the-counter flu products do not address nausea or vomiting which are the most debilitating symptoms of the stomach flu. This invention solves those aforementioned gaps in the market with the addition of an antiemetic to address nausea, vomiting, vertigo, and vestibular symptoms associated with migraines or headaches and the stomach flu. Consumers with migraines or headaches would use this invention if their symptoms included pain, nausea, vomiting, vertigo, or any other vestibular symptoms such as phonophobia or photophobia. Consumers with the stomach flu would use this invention if their symptoms included any of the usual flu symptoms such as fever, pain, body aches, but also with nausea and vomiting which is the key difference compared to existing flu products currently on the market. This invention is new because no prior art discusses using any antiemetics by themselves as a single entity medication or in combination with an analgesic(s) including but not limited to: (1) acetaminophen with or without caffeine and with or without aspirin, (2) acetaminophen with ibuprofen; (3) acetaminophen with naproxen, (4) aspirin, (5) naproxen, and (6) ibuprofen; (7) ketorolac; for the indication of nausea with or without vomiting; vertigo such as migraine-associated vertigo, photophobia, phonophobia, and with or without pain. Additionally, this invention also differs from prior art in that antiemetics can be used in any combination with the aforementioned analgesic(s), and are also able to combined with or without a nasal decongestant such as phenylephrine including any newly reformulated version(s ) of phenylephrine and/or pseudoephedrine with or without dextromethorphan hydrobromide or dextromethorphan polistirex; and with or without guaifenesin. The interchangeability of the drugs and doses allows for versatility which prior art does not offer. Actual dosages used will be within that range at therapeutic, efficacious, and safe dosages in said subjects for the treatment of the indication(s) being claimed and/or exhibited by said subjects at appropriate dosing intervals. Utilizing subtherapeutic and supratherapeutic doses in the ranges are not obvious or usual doses utilized by a person knowledgeable in the prior art, therefore differentiating it from prior art and supporting patentability.[French] Le domaine technique visé par cette invention se rapporte aux produits pharmaceutiques.
