The invention relates to an orthopaedic knee brace with a chain and sprocket for level adjustment, which is a device that ergonomically holds the upper and lower sides of the knee by means of clamps, hinges and screws and provides graduated movement by means of sliding guides, without sudden pressure that may cause knee pain. The orthopaedic knee brace is based on the mechanical principle of separation by means of the chain and sprocket, which helps support the weight of the body and bridge the weight such that the pressure on the knee is eased, using the separation of the upper clamp and the lower clamp. The orthopaedic knee brace comprises a sprocket level adjuster that increases separation force and safety plates that prevent obstructions and cover the majority of the mobile parts.[Spanish]
Rodillera ortopédica con cadena y rueda dentada para regulación de nivel, es un dispositivo que sujeta ergonómicamente los lados superior e inferior a la rodilla, mediante abrazaderas, bisagras y tornillos, y mediante unas guías deslizantes brinda un movimiento escalado, sin presiones bruscas que puedan provocar dolor en la rodilla. Emplea el principio mecánico de separación por cadena y rueda dentada, la cual ayuda a soportar el peso del cuerpo, y lograr el puente de peso que alivia la presión en la rodilla, por medio de la separación de la abrazadera superior e inferior. Cuenta con un regulador de nivel de la rueda dentada, la cual brinda una mayor fuerza de separación. Tiene placas de seguridad que previene los atascos cubriendo la mayor parte de las piezas móviles.[French]
Une genouillère orthopédique à chaîne et roue dentée pour réglage de niveau est un dispositif qui maintient ergonomiquement les côtés supérieur et inférieur du genou, au moyen de brides de serrage, de charnières et de vis, et au moyen de guides coulissants, assure un mouvement progressif, sans pressions brusques qui pourraient provoquer une douleur au niveau du genou. Elle utilise le principe mécanique de séparation par chaîne et roue dentée, ce qui aide à soutenir le poids du corps, et à atteindre le point de poids qui soulage la pression au niveau du genou, au moyen de la séparation de la bride de serrage supérieure et inférieure. Elle présente un dispositif de réglage de niveau de la roue dentée, ce qui assure une plus grande force de séparation. Elle présente des plaques de sécurité qui prévient les blocages couvrant la plus grande partie des pièces mobiles.
