Abstract[English] Benzotriazole vinylic monomers having an increased solubility in ophthalmic device material formulations relative to certain other benzotriazole vinylic monomers are disclosed. Such benzotriazole vinylic monomers are useful for fabricating various ophthalmic devices including hydrogel contact lenses such as silicone hydrogel contact lenses and can have a high relative ultraviolet and/or High-energy visible light (UV/HEVL) absorption.[French] L'invention divulgue des monomères vinyliques à base de benzotriazole présentant une solubilité accrue dans les formulations de matériaux pour dispositifs ophtalmiques par rapport à certains autres monomères vinyliques à base de benzotriazole. Ces monomères vinyliques à base de benzotriazole sont utiles pour la fabrication de divers dispositifs ophtalmiques, notamment des lentilles de contact hydrogel telles que les lentilles de contact hydrogel siliconé, et peuvent présenter une absorption élevée de la lumière ultraviolette et/ou de la lumière visible à haute énergie (UV/LVHE).
