A fan impeller made of complex three dimensional composite structures which results in the combination of mechanical properties and abrasion and erosion resistance which allows for improved utility, functionality, reliability, cost, and safety for the user. The specific composite structures vary based on fan size and design as well as the gas and application requirements relative to such as but not limited to temperature, corrosivity, abrasiveness, etc., and may include but are not limited to combinations of fibers, resins, 3D printed reinforcement structures, cast reinforcement structures, and/or fabricated reinforcement structures.[French]
