Abstract[English] Rosin ester-based compositions are disclosed comprising (a) at least one polymer and (b) a rosin ester formed by esterification of a rosin or rosin acid with a cyclic polyol. The cyclic polyol is defined by a carbon-to-oxygen ratio of 1.0 to 20 and < 5 rotatable carbon– carbon bonds, thereby providing enhanced rigidity and compatibility. The resulting rosin ester can be employed directly without further modification and exhibits advantageous performance in polymer systems. Applications include hot-melt and pressure-sensitive adhesives, tire and rubber compositions based on diene rubbers, and other polymer-based materials requiring improved thermal stability, clarity, and adhesion balance.[French] L'invention concerne des compositions à base d'ester de colophane comprenant (a) au moins un polymère et (b) un ester de colophane formé par estérification d'une colophane ou d'un acide de colophane avec un polyol cyclique. Le polyol cyclique est défini par un rapport carbone-oxygène de 1,0 à 20 et par moins de 5 liaisons carbone-carbone rotatives, ce qui lui confère une rigidité et une compatibilité accrues. L'ester de colophane obtenu peut être utilisé directement sans modification supplémentaire et présente des performances avantageuses dans des systèmes polymères. Des applications incluent des adhésifs thermofusibles et sensibles à la pression, des compositions de pneu et de caoutchouc à base de caoutchoucs diéniques, et d'autres matériaux polymères nécessitant une stabilité thermique, une transparence et un équilibre d'adhérence améliorés.
