Thermoplastic compositions including a poly(arylene ether) composition, one or more hydrogenated block copolymers derived from an alkenyl aromatic monomer comprising styrene and a conjugated diene, an organophosphorus flame retardant, and optional components can have a UL94 5VA rating at a thickness of 1.5 mm or less, a UL94 5VB rating at a thickness of 1.5 mm or less, and a UL94 rating of V0 at a thickness of 1.5 mm or less, and a notched impact strength of at least 168 J/m at 23 °C according to ASTM D256, or a heat deflection temperature of 130 °C or greater when measured at a force of 0.45 megapascals according to ASTM D638, or a combination thereof.[French]
