Abstract[English]
An apparatus for surgery on an eye. The apparatus may include a cannula having a hub with an instrument port, a shield, and a sleeve. The sleeve may have a first end coupled to the instrument port and a second end coupled to the shield. The system may further comprise an illuminator having a first end configured to be coupled to a light source and a second end configured to be inserted through the instrument port and the sleeve. The shield can be configured to partially block light emitted from the second end of the illuminator to prevent glare.[French]
L'invention concerne un appareil de chirurgie sur un œil. L'appareil peut comprendre une canule ayant un moyeu avec un orifice d'instrument, un écran de protection et un manchon. Le manchon peut comporter une première extrémité couplée à l'orifice d'instrument et une seconde extrémité couplée à l'écran de protection. Le système peut en outre comprendre un illuminateur ayant une première extrémité conçue pour être couplée à une source de lumière et une seconde extrémité conçue pour être insérée par l'orifice d'instrument et le manchon. L'écran de protection peut être conçu pour bloquer partiellement la lumière émise depuis la seconde extrémité de l'illuminateur pour empêcher l'éblouissement.
