A gripping arrangement comprises a gripping member (30) having a formation (42) configured to cooperate with the corresponding formation (46) on a selected one of a plurality of elongate members (14). An elongate member (14) is selected from said plurality of elongate members (14), each elongate member (14) having a corresponding formation (46) that differs from the corresponding formation (42) on the, or each, other elongate member (14). The formation (46) on the gripping member is cooperable with the corresponding formation (46) on each of said elongate members, thereby allowing the gripping member (30) to grip the selected elongate member (14).[French]
