Abstract[English]
A hypoid gearbox assembly includes a ring gear configured to rotate about a drive wheel axis; a pinion gear configured to rotate about a pinion gear axis and engage the ring gear to transmit torque; a housing assembly supporting and enclosing the ring gear and the pinion gear; an eccentric carrier bracket, releasably coupled to the housing assembly, having a bearing surface that is offset from an outer diameter of the eccentric carrier bracket that is configured to receive a portion of the pinion gear; and an eccentric pinion housing, releasably coupled to the housing assembly, having a bearing surface that is offset from an outer diameter of the eccentric pinion housing, and configured to receive another portion of the pinion gear, such that the eccentric carrier bracket and the eccentric pinion housing establish a first hypoid offset while coupled to the housing assembly at a first angular position and a second, different hypoid offset while coupled to the housing assembly at a second angular position.[French]
