Abstract[English]
Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to a cell employing network energy saving by calculating or determining a paging frame index for a UE associated with the cell, such that paging frames and/or paging occasions for UEs are within active periods of the cell when the cell is configured for discontinuous transmission (DTX). For example, the cell may utilize a new or enhanced paging frame index formula when calculating the paging frame index that is based on whether the cell is configured for NES or does not utilize energy saving.[French]
