Abstract[English]
A method and a system are provided for ball tracking in a physical golf game for computer visualisation. The method includes: obtaining camera data from multiple cameras positioned to capture movement of a ball on a course hole from a tee-off position; and identifying a ball at the tee-off position by capturing a pattern by a camera with the pattern provided repeatedly on the ball with the pattern being a shape divided into a visual coding of geometric areas that divide the shape into parts with the geometric areas contrasted to represent a code. The method includes: tracking the identified ball using the camera data to provide three-dimensional coordinates. The method provides the three-dimensional coordinates of the ball tracking and events relating to the ball to a computer visualisation system for display.[French]
L'invention concerne un procédé et un système de suivi de balle dans un jeu de golf physique pour une visualisation informatique. Le procédé consiste : à obtenir des données de caméra à partir de multiples caméras positionnées pour capturer le mouvement d'une balle sur un trou de parcours à partir d'une position de frappe d'un coup de départ; et à identifier une balle au niveau de la position de frappe d'un coup de départ par capture d'un motif par une caméra avec le motif fourni de manière répétée sur la balle, le motif étant une forme divisée en un codage visuel de zones géométriques qui divisent la forme en parties avec les zones géométriques contrastées pour représenter un code. Le procédé consiste : à suivre la balle identifiée à l'aide des données de caméra pour fournir des coordonnées tridimensionnelles. Le procédé fournit les coordonnées tridimensionnelles du suivi de balle et des événements se rapportant à la balle à un système de visualisation informatique pour permettre un affichage.
