Abstract[English]
The invention relates to an introducer sheath assembly, comprising: a sheath having a distal end, a proximal end, an interior diameter, an exterior diameter, a lumen, and a length extending from the distal end to the proximal end, the sheath being configured to 5 be inserted into the patient's vasculature and to expand in a direction radially outward from the lumen; and a dilator comprising: a dilator tip being configured to abut to and extend from the distal end of the sheath; and an elongated dilator body coupled to the dilator tip and extending through the lumen of the sheath, and an actuator being configured to slide within the lumen in a direction from the proximal end of the sheath 10 towards the distal end of the sheath to expand the sheath in a direction radially outward from the lumen, and wherein the actuator is configured to radially expand and/or move longitudinally such that the interior diameter of the distal end of the sheath is increased.[French]
L'invention concerne un ensemble gaine d'introduction, comprenant : une gaine ayant une extrémité distale, une extrémité proximale, un diamètre intérieur, un diamètre extérieur, une lumière et une longueur s'étendant de l'extrémité distale à l'extrémité proximale, la gaine étant conçue pour être insérée dans le système vasculaire du patient et pour se dilater dans une direction radialement vers l'extérieur depuis la lumière ; et un dilatateur comprenant : une pointe de dilatateur conçue pour venir en butée contre l'extrémité distale de la gaine et s'étendre à partir de celle-ci ; et un corps de dilatateur allongé couplé à la pointe de dilatateur et s'étendant à travers la lumière de la gaine, et un actionneur conçu pour coulisser à l'intérieur de la lumière dans une direction allant de l'extrémité proximale de la gaine vers l'extrémité distale de la gaine pour dilater la gaine dans une direction radialement vers l'extérieur de la lumière, et l'actionneur étant conçu pour se dilater radialement et/ou se déplacer longitudinalement de sorte que le diamètre intérieur de l'extrémité distale de la gaine est augmenté.
