A deployable ballistic shield bag (100), comprising front and rear walls (104 and 106) secured to each other through a hinge (108), the front and rear walls (104 and 106) being bulletproof, the deployable ballistic shield bag (100) being configurable between bag retracted and deployed configurations, wherein, in the bag retracted configuration, the front and rear walls (104 and 106) face each other and the deployable ballistic shield bag (100) defines an enclosure (111) therebetween, and, in the bag deployed configuration (100), the front and rear walls (104 and 106) are acutely angled relative to each other; and a closure (130) operable for selectively locking the deployable ballistic shield bag (100) in the bag retracted configuration. Opening the closure (130) allows the deployable ballistic shield bag (100) to achieve the bag deployed configuration.[French]
