Abstract[English]
The present disclosure provides a pharmaceutical composition comprising at least one phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitor and at least one N-methyl-D-aspartate-receptor (NMDA-receptor) antagonist, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts, solvates, or hydrates thereof. The composition is useful for treating neurodegenerative disorders. Methods of treating neurodegenerative disorders and reducing neuroinflammation by administering an effective amount of the pharmaceutical composition to a subject in need thereof are also provided. The phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitor may be mirodenafil and the NMDA-receptor antagonist may be memantine. The composition and methods result in synergistic reduction of inflammatory markers and amyloid beta levels.[French]
La présente invention concerne une composition pharmaceutique contenant au moins un inhibiteur de phosphodiestérase 5 et au moins un antagoniste du récepteur N-méthyl-D-aspartate (récepteur NMDA), ou des sels, solvates ou hydrates pharmaceutiquement acceptables de celui-ci. La composition est utile pour traiter des troubles neurodégénératifs. L'invention concerne également des méthodes de traitement de troubles neurodégénératifs et de réduction de la neuro-inflammation par administration d'une quantité efficace de la composition pharmaceutique à un sujet en ayant besoin. L'inhibiteur de phosphodiestérase 5 peut être le mirodénafil et l'antagoniste du récepteur NMDA peut être la mémantine. La composition et les méthodes conduisent à une réduction synergique de marqueurs inflammatoires et de niveaux bêta-amyloïdes.
