Abstract[English]
An air intake system for an internal combustion engine and methods of operating the air intake system. The system includes a turbocharger, a supercharger in series with the turbocharger, a first intercooler between the turbocharger and the supercharger, and a second intercooler downstream of the supercharger. The method includes operating the air intake system to support the internal combustion engine in a drive mode by bypassing the supercharger by opening a first throttle valve in a first bypass line and operating the air intake system to support the internal combustion engine in a brake mode by closing the first throttle valve in the first bypass line.[French]
L'invention concerne un système d'admission d'air pour un moteur à combustion interne et des procédés de fonctionnement du système d'admission d'air. Le système comprend un turbocompresseur, un compresseur volumétrique en série avec le turbocompresseur, un premier refroidisseur d'air de suralimentation entre le turbocompresseur et le compresseur volumétrique, et un second refroidisseur d'air de suralimentation en aval du compresseur volumétrique.
