Abstract[English]
Loading on materials and structures such as gravel dams, railway ballast, and oil or gas tanks, applied lateral loads in addition to the vertical load, will play an essential role in determining the fracture toughness of the modes I and II and composite modes of materials. This issue is important in predicting the failure behavior of brittle stone materials and the precise design of these types of structures. The device for measuring fracture toughness in stone and concrete materials was designed and built in terms of lateral load. Using this device makes it possible to obtain the fracture toughness of mode I (tensile) and mode II (shear) plus composite mode of brittle stone and concrete materials under confinement load. It performs tests on samples with sizes 4.5 to 11 cm. Also, the use of screw connections in the entire device has facilitated its installation and movement.[French]
Lors du chargement sur des matériaux et des structures telles que des barrages de gravier, du ballast de chemin de fer et des réservoirs d'huile ou de gaz, les charges latérales appliquées en plus de la charge verticale jouent un rôle essentiel dans la détermination de la ténacité à la rupture des modes I et II et des modes composites de matériaux. Ce problème est important pour prédire le comportement de défaillance de matériaux en pierre fragile et la conception précise de ces types de structures. Le dispositif de mesure de ténacité à la rupture dans des matériaux en pierre et en béton a été conçu et construit en termes de charge latérale. L'utilisation de ce dispositif permet d'obtenir la ténacité à la rupture du mode I (traction) et du mode II (cisaillement) plus le mode composite de pierre fragile et de matériaux en béton sous charge de confinement. Il effectue des tests sur des échantillons de tailles de 4,5 à 11 cm. En outre, l'utilisation de liaisons à vis dans l'ensemble du dispositif facilite son installation et son déplacement.
