Abstract[English]
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods and systems for mapping colonic and rectal activity with an electrode array patch disposed over an abdomen skin surface of a patient. The method includes non-invasively measuring electrical signals associated with colonic activity of the patient with the electrode array patch over a predetermined time period, receiving the measured electrical signals from the electrode array patch over the predetermined time period, determining one or more abnormal cyclic motor patterns (CMPs) and/or abnormal high amplitude propagated contractions (HAPCs) based at least in part on the received measured electrical signals, and generating a report comprising at least the determination of the one or more abnormal CMPs and/or abnormal HAPCs.[French]
Les modes de réalisation de la présente divulgation concernent des procédés et des systèmes qui permettent de cartographier l'activité colique et rectale à l'aide d'un patch à électrodes disposé sur la surface cutanée abdominale d'un patient. Le procédé comprend la mesure non invasive de signaux électriques associés à l'activité colique du patient à l'aide du patch à électrodes pendant une période prédéterminée, la réception des signaux électriques mesurés à partir du patch à électrodes pendant la période prédéterminée, la détermination d'un ou plusieurs schémas moteurs cycliques (CMP) anormaux et/ou de contractions propagées de forte amplitude (HAPC) anormales, sur la base, au moins en partie, des signaux électriques mesurés reçus, et la génération d'un rapport comprenant au moins la détermination d'un ou plusieurs CMP anormaux et/ou HAPC anormales.
