Abstract[English]
The present invention relates to methods and compositions for diagnosing and enabling treatment of cardiomyopathy (CM) in a feline. In one embodiment, a method of diagnosing CM in a feline can comprise measuring an amount of at least one metabolite from the feline; comparing the amount of the at least one metabolite from the feline to a corresponding predetermined value or a corresponding predetermined range; and diagnosing the feline as preclinical CM, clinical CM, or not having CM, based on the comparison.[French]
La présente invention concerne des méthodes et des compositions permettant de diagnostiquer et de traiter une cardiomyopathie (CM) chez un félin. Dans un mode de réalisation, un procédé de diagnostic de CM chez un félin peut comprendre : la mesure d'une quantité d'au moins un métabolite du félin ; la comparaison de la quantité du ou des métabolites du félin à une valeur prédéterminée correspondante ou à une plage prédéterminée correspondante ; et le diagnostic de CM préclinique, de CM clinique ou d'absence de CM chez le félin, sur la base de la comparaison.
