Abstract[English]
Presented herein are systems and methods for closed-loop control of an implantable medical device with multiple current sources, and systems and methods for the detection and remediation of imbalanced stimulation currents. More specifically, in accordance with the embodiments presented herein, an implantable medical device with multiple current sources is configured to measure the current flow through the body (e.g., body tissue and/or body fluid) of the recipient, and automatically control, in real-time, the stimulation currents (e.g., substantially immediately make corrections with respect to the injected/sourced current and/or sunk current) to prevent pain and/or harm to the recipient.[French]
L'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés de commande en boucle fermée d'un dispositif médical implantable présentant de multiples sources de courant, et des systèmes et des procédés pour la détection et la correction de courants de stimulation déséquilibrés. Plus spécifiquement, selon les modes de réalisation présentés ici, un dispositif médical implantable présentant de multiples sources de courant est configuré pour mesurer le flux de courant à travers le corps (p. ex. un tissu corporel et/ou un fluide corporel) du receveur, et commander automatiquement, en temps réel, les courants de stimulation (p. ex. effectuer sensiblement immédiatement des corrections par rapport au courant injecté/source et/ou au courant sink) pour empêcher que le receveur ressente une douleur et/ou subisse un dommage.
