A telescoping catheter system (100) equipped with a clutch mechanism (30) that enables an interventionalist to selectively lock inner and outer catheters (10, 20) together after adjusting their relative positions for optimal performance at the beginning of an interventional procedure, and to also unlock and reposition the catheters (10, 20) as needed to reestablish optimal performance at any subsequent point in the procedure.[French]
L'invention concerne un système de cathéter télescopique (100) équipé d'un mécanisme d'embrayage (30) qui permet à un interventionniste de verrouiller sélectivement des cathéters interne et externe (10, 20) ensemble après ajustement de leurs positions relatives pour une performance optimale au début d'une procédure d'intervention, et de déverrouiller et de repositionner également les cathéters (10, 20) selon les besoins pour rétablir des performances optimales à n'importe quel moment ultérieur lors de la procédure.
