Abstract[English] A screen cylinder includes a cylindrical screening media having an inflow side and an outflow side. The screening media is formed of a plurality of circumferentially spaced and axially extending wedgewire bars, which have an inflow surface facing the inflow side. The axially extending wedgewire bars have a wear resistant coating on their inflow surface. The wear resistant coating is substantially uniform in thickness on the inflow surface at individual axial locations but thicker on the bars on the inflow surface towards the outflow end of the screening media compared to the wear resistant coating located on the bars towards the inflow end of the screening media.[French] Un cylindre de tamis comprend un support de tamisage cylindrique présentant un côté d'entrée et un côté de sortie. Le support de tamisage est formé d'une pluralité de barres à fissures espacées de manière circonférentielle et s'étendant axialement, qui ont une surface d'entrée faisant face au côté d'entrée.
