Abstract[English]
Decoking a coil of a cracking furnace includes firing one or more burners of the cracking furnace at a burner fuel rate, providing a flow of superheated steam to the coil, wherein the coil comprises a layer of coke extending from an inner surface of the coil and along a length of the coil, providing a flow of air to the coil, thereby initiating a bum of the layer of coke and converting at least some of the coke to carbon dioxide, and adjusting a flow rate of the air relative to a flow rate of the superheated steam to advance a peak tube metal temperature of the coil from a region proximate a first end of the coil to a region proximate a second end of the coil until a compression strength of the furnace coil exceeds a hoop strength of the layer of coke.[French]
L'invention porte sur le décokage d'une bobine d'un four de craquage qui comprend les étapes consistant à allumer un ou plusieurs brûleurs du four de craquage à un débit de carburant de brûleur, fournir un flux de vapeur surchauffée à la bobine, la bobine comprenant une couche de coke s'étendant à partir d'une surface interne de la bobine et le long d'une longueur de la bobine, fournir un flux d'air à la bobine, ce qui permet de déclencher la combustion de la couche de coke et de convertir au moins une partie du coke en dioxyde de carbone, et ajuster le débit d'air par rapport au débit de la vapeur surchauffée pour faire progresser la température de crête du métal de tube de la bobine d'une région proche d'une première extrémité de la bobine vers une région proche d'une seconde extrémité de la bobine jusqu'à ce qu'une résistance à la compression de la bobine de four dépasse une résistance périphérique de la couche de coke.
