The invention relates to a comminution device (2), in particular an eccentric roll crusher, for comminuting material to be comminuted, the comminution device (2) having a housing (4) with two opposite side walls (10), a crushing jaw (14) between the side walls (10), and a roll (20) arranged at least in sections between the side walls (10) for comminuting the material to be comminuted on the crushing jaw (14), wherein the roll (20) is rotatably mounted about an axis of rotation (22) in the side walls (10) by means of a bearing (24) of the roll (20), wherein the side walls (10) run transverse to the axis of rotation (22) and/or parallel to each other, and wherein at least one of the side walls (10) has or is formed from a stacked composite (26) of at least two plate elements (28)[French]
