Abstract[English]
Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) therapy is a proven approach for treating tumors using alternating electric fields. When treating tumors in certain anatomic locations (e.g., at certain locations within a subject's head) it may be beneficial to induce an electric field through the subject's body with an overall directionality that varies between more than two directions. The embodiments described herein can induce electric fields in many different directions by simultaneously applying AC signals to different pairs of transducer arrays and adjusting the amplitudes of those AC signals.[French]
La thérapie des champs de traitement de tumeurs (TTFields) est une approche prouvée pour le traitement de tumeurs à l'aide de champs électriques alternatifs. Lors du traitement de tumeurs dans certains emplacements anatomiques (par exemple, à certains emplacements à l'intérieur de la tête d'un sujet) il peut être bénéfique d'induire un champ électrique à travers le corps du sujet avec une directivité globale qui varie entre plus de deux directions. Les modes de réalisation de la présente invention peuvent induire des champs électriques dans de nombreuses directions différentes en appliquant simultanément des signaux CA à différentes paires de réseaux de transducteurs et en ajustant les amplitudes de ces signaux CA.
