Abstract[English]
A seed delivery system comprising a seed meter supported by a row unit frame and comprising a metering disc configured to hold a plurality of seeds; a seed accelerator configured to flow a pressurized airstream therethrough, the accelerator comprising an air entrainment chamber configured to extract and entrain the seeds from the metering disc in the airstream; a seed dispensing tube comprising a top end receiving the airstream with entrained seeds from the seed accelerator and a bottom end defining a discharge opening for dispensing the seeds into a planting trench; and an air deflection baffle disposed adjacent the dispensing tube between the top and bottom ends, the baffle configured to block at least a portion of air from entering the trench which flows downwards along the dispensing tube. The baffle may be mounted to the tube. One or more air vents vent excess air in the tube to atmosphere.[French]
Système de distribution de semences comprenant un doseur de semences supporté par un châssis d'unité de rangée et comprenant un disque de dosage conçu pour contenir une pluralité de semences ; un accélérateur de semences conçu pour faire circuler un flux d'air sous pression à travers celui-ci, l'accélérateur comprenant une chambre d'entraînement d'air conçue pour extraire et entraîner les semences hors du disque de dosage et dans le flux d'air ; un tube de distribution de semences comprenant une extrémité supérieure recevant le flux d'air contenant des semences entraînées provenant de l'accélérateur de semences et une extrémité inférieure délimitant une ouverture d'évacuation par laquelle sont distribuées les semences dans un sillon de plantation ; et un déflecteur de déviation d'air disposé à proximité du tube de distribution entre les extrémités supérieure et inférieure, le déflecteur étant conçu pour empêcher au moins une partie de l'air s'écoulant vers le bas le long du tube de distribution d'entrer dans le sillon. Le déflecteur peut être monté sur le tube. Un ou plusieurs évents évacuent l'air en excès dans le tube en direction de l'atmosphère.
