Presented herein are techniques for use of evoked biological responses (evoked responses), to determine relative proximity of electrodes to a target structure in a recipient. For example, in certain embodiments, the techniques presented herein use evoked biological responses to determine the relative proximity of electrodes to a modiolus of a cochlea.[French]
