Abstract[English]
A system and method for determining and monitoring occupancy level of items placed on a surface are provided. The system comprises receiving frequency words from tags placed on the surface, wherein each tag is configured to transmit a plurality of frequency words; extracting at least one data feature from the plurality of frequency words, wherein each data feature changes in response to an item placed in a proximity to a respective tag; determining, based on the extracted at least one data feature from a group of tags placed on the surface and based on at least one baseline, the occupancy level of items placed on the surface; and reporting the determined occupancy level of items.[French]
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant de déterminer et de surveiller le niveau d'occupation d'articles placés sur une surface. Le système comprend la réception de mots de fréquence émanant d'étiquettes placées sur la surface, chaque étiquette étant conçue pour transmettre une pluralité de mots de fréquence; l'extraction d'au moins une caractéristique de données émanant de la pluralité de mots de fréquence, chaque caractéristique de données changeant en réponse à un article placé à proximité d'une étiquette respective; la détermination du niveau d'occupation d'articles placés sur la surface, en fonction de ladite caractéristique de données extraite d'un groupe d'étiquettes placées sur la surface et en fonction d'au moins une ligne de base; et le rapport du niveau d'occupation d'articles déterminé.
