An aspect of the present invention relates to a computer-implemented method, the method comprising at least the steps of: obtaining, by a first computing device, sample location data, the sample location data comprising information indicative of a sample location of a biological sample; obtaining, by the first computing device, test data, the test data comprising information indicative of one or more clinical tests to be performed on the biological sample; selecting by evaluating laboratory data, by the first computing device, a processing laboratory from a first plurality of laboratories, wherein the processing laboratory is located at a processing laboratory location and the processing laboratory comprises one or more laboratory instruments, the one or more laboratory instruments being configured to carry out the one or more clinical tests to be performed on the biological sample; and instructing, by the first computing device, an agent to initiate a transfer of the biological sample from the sample location to the processing laboratory location. L'invention concerne, selon un aspect de la présente invention, un procédé mis en œuvre par ordinateur, le procédé comprenant au moins les étapes consistant à : obtenir, par un premier dispositif informatique, des données de localisation de l'échantillon, les données de localisation de l'échantillon comprenant des informations indiquant la localisation d'un échantillon biologique; obtenir, par le premier dispositif informatique, des données de test, les données de test comprenant des informations indiquant un ou plusieurs tests cliniques à effectuer sur l'échantillon biologique; sélectionner, en évaluant les données de laboratoire, par le premier dispositif informatique, un laboratoire de traitement parmi une première pluralité de laboratoires, le laboratoire de traitement étant situé à un emplacement de laboratoire de traitement et le laboratoire de traitement comprenant un ou plusieurs instruments de laboratoire, le ou les instruments de laboratoire étant configurés pour effectuer le ou les tests cliniques à réaliser sur l'échantillon biologique; et ordonner, par le premier dispositif informatique, à un agent d'initier un transfert de l'échantillon biologique de l'emplacement de l'échantillon à l'emplacement du laboratoire de traitement.
