Abstract[English]
Presented herein are techniques for activating auxiliary features of an arc process system when a controller determines a torch is in a user's hand. The controller will determine, via a motion sensor in the torch, when the torch moves and/or a user picks up and handles the torch. Once the system detects motion of the torch, the system may automatically activate auxiliary features of the system in anticipation of arc initiation.[French]
L'invention concerne des techniques d'activation de caractéristiques auxiliaires d'un système de traitement à l'arc lorsqu'un dispositif de commande détermine qu'un chalumeau se trouve dans la main d'un utilisateur. Le dispositif de commande détermine, par l'intermédiaire d'un capteur de mouvement dans le chalumeau, quand le chalumeau se déplace et/ou un utilisateur saisit et manipule le chalumeau. Une fois que le système détecte un mouvement du chalumeau, le système peut activer automatiquement des caractéristiques auxiliaires du système en anticipation de l'initiation d'arc.
