Abstract[English]
Presented herein are techniques for wirelessly communicating sound data and one or more sound signal attributes from an external component of a medical device to an implantable component of the medical device via one or more data packets. For example, when the medical device is embodied as a hearing device, such as a cochlear implant system or hearing aid, sensory data and one or more sensory signal attributes determined from input sensory data can be combined into data packets by an external component and wirelessly transmitted to an implantable component of the cochlear implant system. The cochlear implant can separate the sensory data and one or more sensory signal attributes from the data packets and further process the sensory data using the one or more sensory signal attributes in order to generate stimulation signals for delivery to a recipient of the cochlear implant system.[French]
