Abstract[English]
There is provided a system comprising: (i) an internal combustion engine configured to run on a mixture of air and fuel, wherein the fuel of the mixture of air and fuel is a gaseous fuel comprising a majority fuel mass of hydrogen (H2); (ii) a source of gaseous fuel comprising a majority fuel mass of hydrogen (H2); and (iii) an exhaust system for the internal combustion engine comprising an oxidation catalyst for oxidising H2 in exhaust gas of the engine to H2O; wherein the oxidation catalyst comprises a washcoat coated on a monolith substrate, which washcoat comprising a platinum group metal having a platinum-to-palladium weight ratio of 2:1 to 1:0 supported on a particulate refractory metal oxide support material comprising alumina promoted with bismuth and/or manganese.[French]
L'invention concerne un système comprenant : (i) un moteur à combustion interne configuré pour fonctionner avec un mélange d'air et de carburant, le carburant du mélange étant un carburant gazeux dont la majorité de la masse de carburant est constituée d'hydrogène (H2) ; (ii) une source de carburant gazeux dont la masse de carburant est majoritairement constituée d'hydrogène (H2) ; et (iii) un système d'échappement pour le moteur à combustion interne comprenant un catalyseur d'oxydation pour oxyder le H2 des gaz d'échappement du moteur en H2O ; le catalyseur d'oxydation comprend un revêtement catalytique appliqué sur un substrat monolithique, ce revêtement catalytique comprenant un métal du groupe du platine dont le rapport pondéral entre le platine et le palladium est compris entre 2:1 et 1:0, supporté par un matériau de support d'oxyde métallique réfractaire particulaire comprenant de l'alumine activée par du bismuth et/ou du manganèse.
