Abstract[English]
An orbital welding system with a first pipe comprising a straight portion and a substantially bent portion, and a second pipe. An orbital welder is arranged to orbitally weld open faces of the pipes. A clamp having two opposing jaws (122) moveable between an unclamped position and a clamped position. Each jaw (122) comprises a curved surface (150) arranged to, in the clamped position, engage with at least a part of the straight portion of the first pipe so as to hold it in place for the orbital welder. Each curved surface comprises a first edge cutaway (130) arranged adjacent to the bent portion of the first pipe such that a first part of the bent portion of the first pipe passes through each first edge cutaway (130).[French]
