Abstract[English]
The specification describes a process for the production of vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) from acetylene. The process involves a specific arrangement between the lights column reboiler and the refrigeration service. A portion of the hot refrigerant vapour generated by the refrigeration service is used for the heating duty in the lights column. This arrangement reduces the amount of cooling water required by the refrigeration service and avoids the need to generate steam or hot water for the lights column reboiler.[French]
L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'un monomère de chlorure de vinyle (VCM) à partir d'acétylène. Le procédé implique un agencement spécifique entre le rebouilleur de colonne de produits légers et le service de réfrigération. Une partie de la vapeur de fluide frigorigène chaud générée par le service de réfrigération est utilisée pour le service de chauffage dans la colonne de produits légers. Cet agencement réduit la quantité d'eau de refroidissement requise par le service de réfrigération et évite la nécessité de générer de la vapeur ou de l'eau chaude pour le rebouilleur de colonne de produits légers.
