Abstract[English]
The specification describes a process for the upgrading of ketones, comprising the step of reacting a ketone and hydrogen together in the presence of a catalyst system comprising either a condensation catalyst and a separate hydrogenation catalyst, or a condensation catalyst on which a transition metal is supported. The condensation catalyst is a mixed oxide material comprising aluminium, calcium and optionally magnesium, and has a Ca:(Mg+Al) weight ratio of 0.25 ≤ Ca:(Mg+Al) ≤ 2.5 and a Mg:Al weight ratio of 0 ≤ Mg:Al ≤ 3.0. The process is particularly suitable for the upgrading C3, C4 or C5 ketones such as acetone or butanone.[French]
L'invention concerne un procédé de valorisation de cétones, comprenant l'étape consistant à faire réagir une cétone et de l'hydrogène conjointement en présence d'un système catalyseur comprenant soit un catalyseur de condensation et un catalyseur d'hydrogénation séparé, soit un catalyseur de condensation sur lequel un métal de transition est supporté. Le catalyseur de condensation est un matériau d'oxyde mixte comprenant de l'aluminium, du calcium et éventuellement du magnésium, et a un rapport pondéral Ca:(Mg+Al) de 0,25 ≤ Ca:(Mg+Al) ≤ 2,5 et un rapport pondéral Mg:Al de 0 ≤ Mg:Al ≤ 3,0. Le procédé est particulièrement adapté à la valorisation des cétones C3, C4 ou C5 tels que l'acétone ou la butanone.
