Abstract[English] The invention relates to ruthenium complexes which may find use in the field of organic chemistry. Specifically, the ruthenium complexes of the invention may be used in the reduction or hydrogenation of carbonyl compounds, such as esters, to alcohols. The invention further relates to a process for reducing or hydrogenating a carbonyl compound, such as an ester, to form alcohols using the ruthenium complexes of the invention.[French] L'invention concerne des complexes de ruthénium qui peuvent être utilisés dans le domaine de la chimie organique.
