The present invention relates to a method for extracting lithium by adsorption implementing a plurality of consecutive adsorption/desorption steps and using a plurality of extraction columns (C1-C4) arranged/operated in series for an adsorption phase (a) and wherein a plurality of extraction columns (C1-C4) are arranged/operated in series for a desorption phase (b), the position/operation of the extraction columns (C1-C4) being offset by an equivalent/value of one extraction column (C1-C4) from one step i to another step i+1.[French]
