L'invention concerne un outil de séparation (10) permettant de séparer des plaques bipolaires (101) et des ensembles membrane-électrode dans des piles à combustible d'un empilement de piles à combustible (100). L'outil de séparation comprend : un corps de lame (12) qui présente un axe longitudinal (16) ; deux sections de lame (18, 20) qui sont disposées à l'opposé l'une de l'autre par rapport à l'axe longitudinal (16), chaque section de lame (18, 20) ayant, sur le côté opposé à l'axe longitudinal (16), un bord de limite (24, 26) ayant au moins une section de bord (28, 30, 32, 34) ; et une pointe de lame (22).
