The invention relates to a method for managing an operating mode of an access point (2-1) of a telecommunications network (NW), which method comprises, following a determined event relating to at least one device of the network detected in the network: - a step of switching the access point to a so-called degraded operating mode in which the access point operates at a reduced capacity; and - a step of announcing, across a coverage area of the access point, the degraded operating mode of the access point.[French]
