Die Erfindung betrifft eine Steckerbuchse (1) für ein Steckersystem (2), das miteinander verbindbare Steckerbuchsen (1) und Stecker (3) aufweist, wobei die Steckerbuchse (1) ein Gehäuse (4) aufweist, wobei das Gehäuse (4) in einer Stirnseite (5) zumindest eine Aufnahmevertiefung (6) zur zumindest bereichsweisen Aufnahme eines der Stecker (3) aufweist, wobei die Aufnahmevertiefung (6) sich in das Gehäuse (4) hinein in eine Einsteckrichtung (E) erstreckt, wobei in der Aufnahmevertiefung (6) zumindest ein elektrisch leitfähiges Kontaktelement (15) angeordnet ist, und wobei in die Aufnahmevertiefung (6) zumindest ein elektrisch leitfähiges Gegenkontaktelement (16) des Steckers (3) einsteckbar ist, um das Kontaktelement (15) elektrisch zu kontaktieren.
