Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betreiben eines Fahrantriebs einer mobilen Arbeitsmaschine, wobei der Fahrantrieb einen Elektromotor (305) umfasst, der mindestens ein Rad (303) der Arbeitsmaschine antreibt, und wobei die mobile Arbeitsmaschine eine Eingabevorrichtung (330) umfasst, die ein oder mehrere Bedienelemente aufweist, mit denen der Fahrer der mobilen Arbeitsmaschine den Fahrantrieb steuern kann, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Verfahren folgende Schritte umfasst: a) Ermitteln einer aktuellen Geschwindigkeit der mobilen Arbeitsmaschine oder einer davon abhängigen Größe; b) Ermitteln eines aktuellen Drehmoments, das dem vom Elektromotor (305) erzeugten Drehmoment oder einer davon abhängigen Größe entspricht; c) Erfassen einer Eingabe über die Eingabevorrichtung (330); d) Prüfen auf einen Fehlerzustand anhand der in Schritt a) ermittelten Geschwindigkeit, anhand eines Vergleichs des in Schritt b) ermittelten Drehmoments mit einem Referenzdrehmoment und anhand der in Schritt c) erfassten Eingabe über die Eingabevorrichtung (330).[English]
