Die Erfindung betrifft ein elektrisches Bordnetz (14) für ein zumindest teilweise elektrisch betriebenes Kraftfahrzeug (10) mit einem Hochvoltnetz (16), einem Zwischenkreisnetz (18) und einem Niedervoltnetz (20), wobei das Niedervoltnetz (20) über das Zwischenkreisnetz (18) mit elektrischer Energie von dem Hochvoltnetz (16) versorgt ist, wobei das Hochvoltnetz (16) eine erste Sicherheitsschaltung (28) und das Zwischenkreisnetz (18) eine zweite Sicherheitsschaltung (32) aufweist, wobei die erste Sicherheitsschaltung (28) dazu ausgebildet ist, bei einer ersten Überspannung im Zwischenkreisnetz (18) eine Energieversorgung zum Zwischenkreisnetz (18) zu unterbrechen, und wobei die zweite Sicherheitsschaltung (32) dazu ausgebildet ist, bei einer zur ersten Überspannung unterschiedlichen zweiten Überspannung im Niedervoltnetz (20) eine Energieversorgung zum Niedervoltnetz (20) zu unterbrechen.
