Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren (A1 - A9; B1 - B9) zum Bestimmen eines Feuchtegehalts (rF) in einem Garraum (2) eines Haushaltsgargeräts (1), bei dem der Feuchtegehalt (rF) aus mindestens einer ermittelten Betriebsgröße (n, P) eines eine Atmosphäre des Garraums (2) umwälzenden Umluftlüfters (8) anhand einer Kennlinie berechnet wird, welche Kennlinie mittels mindestens eines Stützpunkts bestimmt wird, der mittels mindestens eines durch das Haushaltsgargerät (1) jeweils durchgeführten Bestimmungsablaufs (A1 - A9; B1 - B9) bestimmt wird. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner ein Verfahren zum Durchführen eines Garablaufs, welches das Verfahren (A1 - A9; B1 - B9) zum Bestimmens des Feuchtegehalts nutzt. Die Erfindung betrifft auch ein entsprechend eingerichtetes Haushaltsgargerät (1).[English]
