Abstract[English]
The present invention relates to the field of producing long chain dicarboxylic acids, i.e. dicarboxylic acids having a chain length of 16 to 24 carbon atoms. Indeed, the present invention discloses genetically modified yeast strains which lack particular genes or gene products, and/or express or over-express particular genes, capable to produce significant amounts of long chain dicarboxylic acids instead of sophorolipids which are produced by their wild-type counterparts. Long chain dicarboxylic acids are valuable precursors for a variety of products such as high-grade polymers, plasticizers, coatings, corrosion inhibitors, adhesives, perfumes, or antibiotics.[French]
La présente invention concerne le domaine de la production d'acides dicarboxyliques à longue chaîne, c'est-à-dire des acides dicarboxyliques ayant une longueur de chaîne de 16 à 24 atomes de carbone. En effet, la présente invention divulgue des souches de levure génétiquement modifiées qui manquent de gènes ou de produits géniques particuliers et/ou expriment ou surexpriment des gènes particuliers, aptes à produire des quantités significatives d'acides dicarboxyliques à longue chaîne au lieu de sophorolipides qui sont produits par leurs homologues de type sauvage. Les acides dicarboxyliques à longue chaîne sont des précurseurs de valeur pour divers produits tels que des polymères de haute qualité, des plastifiants, des revêtements, des inhibiteurs de corrosion, des adhésifs, des parfums ou des antibiotiques.
