Die Erfindung betrifft ein Austauschmodul (5) zur Verwendung in einer Vorrichtung (1) zum Verschließen von Kartonverpackungen (2), welche eine Fördereinheit (3) zum Bewegen der Kartonverpackungen (2) in einer Förderrichtung (F), Führungen (4) zum Führen und Ausrichten der Kartonverpackungen (2) sowie eine Verschlusseinheit zum Verschließen der Kartonverpackungen (2) umfasst, wobei die Verschlusseinheit Mittel zum Einklappen von Querklappen (8) und Längsklappen (10) einer Kartonverpackung (2) sowie eine Klebebandaufbringvorrichtung zum Applizieren eines Klebebandes auf eine sich entlang der Fördereinheit (3) bewegende Kartonverpackung (2) umfasst. Die Erfindung ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Austauschmodul (5) dazu ausgebildet ist, die Verschlusseinheit in der Vorrichtung (1) zu ersetzen, wobei das Austauschmodul (5) Mittel (6, 7, 9) zum Einklappen von Querklappen (8) und Längsklappen (10) einer Kartonverpackung (2), mindestens eine Applikationseinheit (11) zum Aufbringen von Heißschmelzklebstoff auf die eingeklappten Querklappen (8) sowie mindestens einen Verbindungsbereich (24) zum Anschluss des Austauschmoduls (5) an die Vorrichtung (1) umfasst.
