Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betreiben einer Gangschaltung eines Fahrrads, insbesondere eines Elektrofahrrads, wobei die Gangschaltung eine Kettenschaltung mit einer Schaltvorrichtung, welche eingerichtet ist zum Bewegen einer Fahrradkette zwischen verschiedenen Ritzeln, aufweist, umfassend die Schritte: Erkennen einer Schaltbewegung der Schaltvorrichtung, Ermitteln einer Umdrehungsanzahl der Ritzel im Ansprechen auf das Erkennen der Schaltbewegung der Schaltvorrichtung, und Erzeugen eines Zielgangsignals, wenn die ermittelte Umdrehungsanzahl eine vorbestimmte Schalt-Umdrehungsanzahl erreicht.[English]
