The invention relates to a method (100) for adapting resource usage for a sensing system (10), comprising the following steps: - Performing (101) a sensing procedure, wherein the sensing procedure comprises sending of at least one sensing signal by the sensing system, - Analyzing (102) a sensing result based on the performed sensing procedure and preferably further based on a sensing requirement, wherein the sensing result comprises at least one detected object, - Adapting (103) resource usage for sensing based on the analyzing (102).
