Die Steckverbinderanordnung (1) weist weiterhin einen Verbindungsmechanismus (10) ausgebildet zum Verbinden und/oder Verriegeln von Steckverbinder (100) und Gegensteckverbinder (200) auf, wobei der Verbindungsmechanismus (10) eine, insbesondere vom Gegensteckverbindergehäuse (210) separate, Verbindungsstruktur (120) und eine Verbindungsgegenstruktur (220) aufweist, wobei Verbindungsstruktur (120) und Verbindungsgegenstruktur (220) miteinander koppelbar sind, insbesondere formschlüssig.
